This is my personal favourite pic from yesterday.  It was taken just as the elites were assembling at the Start line and you can Andi Jones slightly ahead of the rest of them, obviously having a bit of quiet time before the marathon.  Andi went on to win this year's event, having narrowly missed it in previous years. I like the way that they're standing on the road marking that says 'Ahead'...very apt for a marathon distance. There is an obvious crop to be done, just ahead of his foot but I don't know - it seems more honest as it is.  I have been interested for the longest time in the idea of capturing human endeavour and perhaps sometimes I guess it can be as subtle as putting one foot forward and clearing your head.
